As the president of Hungarian Rugby Union I welcome all of you in Százhalombatta, in the city, which is famous for its rugby sporting traditions. I am very pleased to be honoured to participate in and to deliver the opening speech at the FIRA-AER under 20 European Tournament.
We are proud and hope that this tournament will became a meaningful event for the participating unions Moldova, Bulgaria and the host side the Hungarian national team. I hope that after these forthcoming four days you will gather good memories and will remember as a great rugby event.
I wish to take this opportunity to express my sincere thank to the organizers for taking a huge effort to represent Hungary as a great host nation of this tournament. With all our heart we would like to thank everybody who supports and helps us to create this tournament – Százhalombatta Bulldogs, the volunteers, the HRU representatives and sponsors. Without your assistance successful organization of this event would be impossible!
The Hungarian Rugby Union is committed to the development of rugby and this event could declare our will to step further on this long path. Wish you fair play and good games.
With these brief remarks, I declare the under 20 European Tournament officially open.
